Hello Sir, I am the one who bought Monday from you the CF-27.
Thank you for your support, it was more than I could hope for!
This is my feedback: I came for one Panasonic Toughbook CF-27 (300 MHz) with 128 Mb RAM,
6Gb hdd. You offered me with no extra charge an upgrade to 192 Mb RAM,
and one wireless card. You should see my 3 and a half years old daughter drawing in ArtRage 2.5
with a bamboo chopstick on the touchscreen! I had a full hour of
silence for the first time in years when she, with the tip of her
tongue between her front teeth, was absorbed painting, drawing,
changing colours. It's amazing how fast she learns to use this tool
and I cannot think of a better start for her than this Toughbook --
it is tough beyond imagination if it can resist a child! Waterproof,
drop-proof indeed. It runs a DivX 5 encoded movie without any problem
in full screen, I loaded the hdd with her favourite fairy tales and movies.
The battery holds juice for 35 minutes playing the demo movie, and for
at least 60-70 minutes of regular use (internet, e-mail, wireless connection on).
All in all, I came home with an amazing bounty! I am aware that it
was no blind luck and I am in a huge debt of gratitude towards you
for this, Sir. You made a little girl happy and her dad even happier!
Thank you so much, God bless you for your kindness!
Wishing you a wonderful week-end, Didi Catalin P.

March 21st, 2009: "I purchased a Panasonic Toughbook CF-27 from Richard and recieved it within 6 days. I wrote to him, and spoke with him in regards to possible upgrades to the laptop that he could make prior to shipping the laptop.
Richard was very accomodating with me, and helped me through the entire process, going above and beyond the "call of duty" with regards to customer service. I will not hesitate to buy from Richard again. Thanks again Richard! - huntclubhonda

The recent death of my mother at age 85 has inspired me to start a new project for 2007.

As a New Year’s Resolution, I am committed to work with groups that support elderly people and to provide them Free of Charge an older functional Laptop or Notebook Computer with capabilities of writing a letter, playing solitaire and simple e-mail.

When you realize the loneliness of the aged, this simple tool may make a difference.

We are appealing for the following types of laptops: Units that are still more or less functional but that may have had the hard drive removed and have otherwise little or no commercial value. This included older 486’s, Pentium One’s with No USB Port and even Pentium MMX and Pentium II Laptops.

The brands that are easiest to support include those units with built-in power supply, (ie. No external AC adapter required but simply add a power cord). This includes Toshiba Satellite 2100 Series 486’s, Toshiba Satellite 100CS, 110CS, 110CT, Toshiba Satellite Pro 400/410/420/430 CS/CDT models, Compaq Armada 1500 Series including the Armada 1520/1530/1540/1550/1580 DMT.

Other Notebooks of desire include the IBM ThinkPad 380ED/XD Series and the Dell Latitude XPI and Latitude CP/Cpi Series. This includes units even without AC Adapter.

We would be responsible for thoroughly erasing and wiping out the information of any previous owner and we will restore a factory operating system appropriate to the laptop. For instance, DOS/Windows 3.1 for the 486’s, Windows’95 to the very low-end P1’s and Windows’98SE to the better P1’s and PII’s. We will also clean and test all units. All this will be done free of charge and there will be no cost to the senior who receives the unit.

If you also have older PS/2 Mouse/Mice, preferably in beige which today is a less selling colour, we would appreciate to receive these as well, since most elderly would not like the built-in eraser head trackpoint pointing device. We will clean and test each mouse.

Other useful donations such as PCMCIA Modem cards with the US Robotics XJack Connector will add Dial-Up Internet. We would accept 28.8/33.6K and 56K as well.

Finally, older laptop carrying cases of thick style and/or off-colour such as teal, gray, green or purple would be useful as well. We will clean any case that is considered dirty or dusty for the purposes of donating this to the future recipient.

I thank-you in advance for your participation and I would appreciate any feedback you may have in regards to this project.

Peace, Health and Prosperity in the Year 2007.
