Hello Sir, I am the one who bought Monday from you the CF-27. Thank you for your support, it was more than I could hope for! This is my feedback: I came for one Panasonic Toughbook CF-27 (300 MHz) with 128 Mb RAM, 6Gb hdd. You offered me with no extra charge an upgrade to 192 Mb RAM, and one wireless card. You should see my 3 and a half years old daughter drawing in ArtRage 2.5 with a bamboo chopstick on the touchscreen! I had a full hour of silence for the first time in years when she, with the tip of her tongue between her front teeth, was absorbed painting, drawing, changing colours. It's amazing how fast she learns to use this tool and I cannot think of a better start for her than this Toughbook -- it is tough beyond imagination if it can resist a child! Waterproof, drop-proof indeed. It runs a DivX 5 encoded movie without any problem in full screen, I loaded the hdd with her favourite fairy tales and movies. The battery holds juice for 35 minutes playing the demo movie, and for at least 60-70 minutes of regular use (internet, e-mail, wireless connection on). All in all, I came home with an amazing bounty! I am aware that it was no blind luck and I am in a huge debt of gratitude towards you for this, Sir. March 21st, 2009: "I purchased a Panasonic Toughbook CF-27 from Richard and recieved it within 6 days. I wrote to him, and spoke with him in regards to possible upgrades to the laptop that he could make prior to shipping the laptop. Richard was very accomodating with me, and helped me through the entire process, going above and beyond the "call of duty" with regards to customer service. I will not hesitate to buy from Richard again.
June 8th, 2009: Why Panasonic??? Panasonic is the only remaining core manufacturer of notebook computers. Panasonic not only manufactures most of the major parts used in the Toughbook, but also assembles the Toughbook notebook itself. This is as opposed to the practice of outsourcing the parts and farming off assembly to a third party manufacturer as in the case of Dell. They not only believe in their products but back it up with a 3-Year International Manufacturer Warranty in the case of brand-new product. This is not an extra optional warranty but is included on all their Toughbook Notebook Computers. Plus most of their products are still made in Japan according to their stringent quality control standards.
April 14th, 2009: Attension Panasonic Toughbook Owners: Ultrasoft now offers custom paint jobs on all Panasonic Toughbook Used Notebooks. We offer any colors available in "Krylon", including Olive Drab (Green). Simply visit a local Canadian Tire or similar store and choose your Krylon Color and e-mail us both the UPC code and the color code on the can.
January 15th, 2009: Due to significant changes to exchange rates between the Canadian Dollar, Japanese Yen and US dollar, Panasonic Canada, will be making price changes effective January 15th, 2009 affecting all models of Toughbook Computers. Panasonic will be working diligently between now and January 15th 2009 to minimize the impact to our Canadian customers, and will release final pricing on that date.
